The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has invited applications for the post of Tehsildar in the Revenue Department, Punjab. The last date to apply is 19 October 2023.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab.
• Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 33 years

Responsibilities of a Tehsildar:

A Tehsildar is a revenue officer who is responsible for the administration of a tehsil, which is a sub-division of a district. The duties of a Tehsildar include:

• Collection of land revenue
• Issuance of land records
• Maintenance of law and order in the tehsil
• Supervision of local government bodies
• Settlement of land disputes

Salary:

The salary of a Tehsildar is in the pay scale of BS-17, which is Rs. 78,100-211,200 per month.
