The Parliamentary Internship Program at the National Assembly of Pakistan offers a unique and valuable opportunity for young graduates to dive into the inner workings of the country’s supreme legislative body. Duration & Structure
The program lasts for 6 weeks, offering a flexible internship schedule. Internships are provided on a rolling basis, meaning that different batches are available throughout the year, allowing more young individuals to participate at various times.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the internship program, candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements:

Applicants should have completed at least 14 years of education from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution.

Students currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program (after completing 2 years/4 semesters) or a Master’s program in disciplines such as Law, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Media Sciences, Information Systems, and others, are eligible to apply.

A minimum of 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA out of 4.00 is required.

The internship encourages applications from students and graduates from underrepresented regions, including Balochistan, Sindh, Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, erstwhile FATA, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

The maximum age for applicants is 30 years.

Expectations & Requirements

Full-Time Commitment: Interns are required to commit full-time, working 5 days a week for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Adherence to Rules: Interns must follow the National Assembly’s rules and regulations, including a formal dress code, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Non-Partisan Engagement: Interns are expected to stay impartial and non-partisan throughout the program.
