The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Jail Department has officially announced multiple vacancies for Male and Female Warders and Gate Keepers in various regional offices across the province. These government job opportunities are open for eligible, active, and disciplined candidates who are residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The recruitment process will be managed through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).

  • Mardan Region – Mardan, Malakand, Mohmand, Swabi

  • D.I. Khan Region – D.I. Khan, Tank, Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Karak, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, Kurram

  • Swat Region – Swat, Buner, Shangla, Chitral, Bajaur, Dir Upper/Lower

Each region has separate quotas for Male Warders, Female Warders, Minority Candidates, Transgenders, and Gate Keepers.


Post Details

  1. Warder (Male) – BPS-07

    • Qualification: Matric (Science or equivalent) with at least 2nd Division

    • Physical Requirements:

      • Height: Minimum 5 ft 7 in

      • Chest: 33”–34½” (with expansion)

    • Age Limit: 18–30 years

    • Ex-Servicemen: Preferential consideration for retired personnel from Armed/Para-Military Forces meeting the criteria.

  2. Warder (Female) – BPS-07

    • Qualification: Matric (Science or equivalent)

    • Height: Minimum 5 ft 1 in

    • Age Limit: 18–30 years

  3. Gate Keeper – BPS-11

    • Qualification: Secondary School Certificate with at least 2nd Division

    • For Ex-Servicemen: Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) can apply

    • Age Limit: 30–45 years


Eligibility & Physical Standards

All candidates must be physically fit, medically sound, and free from disabilities.

  • Vision: 6/6 without glasses

  • Running Test:

    • Male: 1.6 km in 7 minutes

    • Female: 1 km in 10 minutes

Candidates who pass the physical test will be invited for a screening test conducted by ETEA.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the ETEA official website and create your profile.

  2. Verify your CNIC through any NADRA e-Sahulat franchise.

  3. Fill out the online application form carefully.

  4. After submission, download and print the Deposit Slip.

  5. Pay the non-refundable test fee through EasyPaisa, UBL Omni, or any UBL Branch.

  6. Keep the candidate’s copy of the deposit slip for record purposes.

  7. Download your Roll Number Slip before the test date.

Selection Procedure

  1. Physical Test – Height, chest, and running evaluation.

  2. Color Vision Test – Mandatory for all candidates.

  3. Written Screening Test – Conducted by ETEA based on general knowledge, current affairs, and subject-related questions.

  4. Interview – Final evaluation by the Departmental Selection Committee.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, and no TA/DA will be provided.


Special Notes

  • Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

  • Ex-servicemen can apply directly through their respective regional DIG Prison offices.

  • False information or forged documents will lead to disqualification.

  • The Jail Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
