Punjab Prisons Department has officially announced new government job opportunities for 2026. Vacancies are available in Women Jail Rawalpindi, Women Jail Faisalabad, and Women Jail Lahore. Suitable candidates from the relevant districts are invited to apply online before 28 February 2026.

These positions offer stable government careers with recruitment conducted under Punjab Government rules and policies.




Available Vacancies

The department is hiring for multiple posts, including:

  • Warder (Male)

  • Lady Warder

  • Driver

  • Electrician

  • Plumber

  • Washerman

  • Naib Qasid

  • Sanitary Worker

  • Gardener

Some posts also reserve quotas for women, minorities, and children of current or retired prison employees.

Education Requirements

Qualification varies depending on the position:

  • Matric (Secondary School Certificate) for Warder and Lady Warder

  • Middle or Literate candidates can apply for support staff roles such as Naib Qasid and Sanitary Worker

  • Technical diplomas or relevant courses such as TEVTA, TTC, or vocational certifications are required for Electrician, Driver, and other technical posts

Candidates must hold certificates from recognized educational boards or institutions.

Physical Standards

For Warder (Male)

  • Minimum height: 173 cm

  • Chest: 85 cm (expanded)

  • Must complete a running test (approx. 1 mile within the required time)

  • Eyesight: 6/6

For Lady Warder

  • Minimum height: 158 cm

  • Weight should be proportionate to height

  • Must pass the running test

  • Eyesight: 6/6

Applicants will go through physical measurement, medical examination, written test, and interview.

Age Limit

Candidates must fall within the age bracket defined by Punjab Government recruitment policy. Age relaxation may be granted according to official rules.

Quota Information

  • 15% quota for women

  • 5% quota for minorities

  • 20% quota for children of serving or retired prison employees (BS 1 to 10)

  • Additional marks are awarded to ex servicemen and Hafiz e Quran candidates as per recruitment criteria.

Important Instructions

  • Applications must be submitted online only. Manual applications will not be accepted.

  • Candidates must attach a Rs. 500 challan form in favor of Superintendent Central Jail Lahore.

  • Government employees should apply through proper channels.

  • Providing false information will lead to disqualification and legal action.

  • No TA or DA will be provided for tests or interviews.

Selected candidates may be required to serve in the assigned region for a specified period.
