The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is inviting applications from eligible male and female Pakistani citizens to join as Commissioned Officers in the Medical Branch under the 137 Combat Support Course. Online registration is open from 02 June 2026 to 14 June 2026 at www.joinpaf.gov.pk.
Two categories are available — Medical Branch Specialists (SPSSC) and General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs). Selected candidates will receive training at PAFAA for 24 weeks and will be commissioned as Squadron Leader (Specialist) or Flight Lieutenant (GDMO). - Rank on Commission: Squadron Leader

Required Qualification: Specialization in any of the following disciplines from a Pakistani/Foreign medical college/university recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC):
- 🔹 Eye Specialist: FCPS / FRCS (OPTH) / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 Anesthetist: FCPS / FRCA / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 Radiologist: FCPS / MRCR / FRCR / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 ENT Specialist: FCPS / MRCS (ENT) / FRCS (ENT) / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 Psychiatrist: FCPS / FRCP / MRCP / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 Neuro Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / MRCS / Diplomate of American Board
- 🔹 Orthopedic Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / Diplomate of American Board
Category 2: Medical Branch (GDMOs) – SPSSC
- Rank on Commission: Flight Lieutenant
- Age: 25–35 Years (as on 15 October 2026)
- Training: 24 Weeks at PAFAA
- Nationality: Male / Female Pakistani Citizen
Required Qualification:
- MBBS with minimum 1st Division or equivalent from a Pakistani/Foreign medical college/university recognized by PMDC
- Having completed minimum one year house job in an institution recognized by PMDC
- Preference will be given to those with relevant field experience after house job
- Note: Candidates having cleared FCPS-I after December 2025 are eligible to apply

Selection Procedure

- Intelligence Test followed by Academic Test in relevant subjects at respective ISC
- Initial Medical Examination, Physical Test and Interview at PAF I & SC
- Psychological Test of shortlisted candidates only
- Interview by AHQ Selection Board, Rawalpindi / Lahore / Karachi
- Final Medical Examination at CMB, Lahore
- Interview by Final AHQ Selection Board, Islamabad
- Final Selection by AHQ in order of merit
Ineligibility Conditions
The following candidates are NOT eligible to apply:
- Rejected by ISSB / GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Boards (specific conditions apply — twice rejected for post-graduate entry, or once rejected by ISSB/GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards)
- Twice screened out by ISSB
- Dismissed / Removed / Debarred from Government Services including Armed Forces
- Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous ISSB appearance (except as waived by competent authority)
- Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offence
- Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB)
- Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested)
- Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds
- Withdrawn / discharged / resigned or purchase release from any Armed Forces Officers’ Academy / Training institution on any ground
- Tampering of academic certificate / forgery / concealment to get undue advantage — permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces
- Thrice screened out by Army / Navy / Air Force during preliminary selection
