Academic Qualifications Required
Junior Special Education Teacher (H.I) – BPS-16
MA or BS (second division or grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Senior Special Education Teacher (H.I) – BPS-17
MA or M.Ed. or BS (first division or grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Junior Special Education Teacher (V.I) – BPS-16
MA or BS (second division or grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the field blind or equivalent qualification recognized by HEC; AND Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.
Senior Special Education Teacher (V.I) – BPS-17
MA or BS (first division or grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field of visually impaired or equivalent HEC-recognized qualification; AND Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.
Junior / Senior Special Education Teacher (P.D) – BPS-16/17
MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of physically disabled, or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Junior / Senior Special Education Teacher (M.C) – BPS-16/17
MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of mentally challenged or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Speech Therapist – BPS-17
MA or BS in Special Education or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university; AND one year post-graduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy; or BS/BSc (Hons) second division in Speech and Language Therapy or Pathology from an HEC-recognized university.
Computer Teacher – BPS-16
BS in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- General age limit: 21 to 28 years
- Male candidates: up to 05 years relaxation
- Female candidates: up to 08 years relaxation
- Disabled Persons: up to 15 years relaxation (subject to disability certificate)
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and age limit as per STI Policy issued by the Special Education Department
- Fresh aspiring candidates with relevant qualifying are encouraged to apply
- Preference will be given to candidates having prior teaching experience
Terms & Conditions
- Engagement is purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable
- Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during FY 2025–26 & 2026–27 or till arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier
- Monthly honorarium: BPS-16 = Rs. 40,000 | BPS-17 = Rs. 45,000
- No right of regular appointment shall be conferred
- Performance and attendance will be strictly monitored by concerned authorities
- Engagement may be terminated on one month’s notice or payment in lieu thereof
